Seascapes

Capturing the sea, is a challenge which makes me take a deep breath.. tantamount to diving into it.. which I love doing .. from a rock high above.. The thrill of flying through the air on a descent into another world where one is cleansed and almost reborn .. to start afresh,...when ,the waves ,spew my body back on the hot, Sandy, beach.

I find the experience one, ..where... I know I’m alive.

My paintings attempt to capture this and I find it to be a wholly creative and liberating pleasure, to squirt, splatter, drip, wipe and ultimately, craft the paint, turps and oil,.. into a coherent surface where .. I and it, are barely distinguishable.
